Consent Studio vs. CookieYes
Both quote a similar entry price per domain. The difference is the unit behind it. When we read their pricing page, CookieYes tiers included a monthly pageview allowance with a charge for pageviews above it, and a limit on pages per scan. We do not count pages or visitors at all.
- Ten euro a month per domain
- No pageview allowance to exceed
- Every page scanned, not a capped number
What we can tell you about ourselves
All checkable on our own pricing page. The statements about their model come from their published pricing on the date below.
Traffic does not move the invoice
A good month costs what a quiet one costs. There is a fair use range of 500,000 sessions a month and no per-pageview charge inside it, so there is no number to watch and no overage line to explain.
Every page gets scanned
The weekly crawl covers every page it can reach rather than a capped number per scan. That matters because findings hide on the old landing pages nobody links to, which is exactly what a cap trims off first.
European ownership, down to the infrastructure
Amsterdam, on infrastructure owned by Scaleway, an independently French company outside the reach of the US CLOUD Act. Consent Studio is built and owned in the Netherlands.
A tag manager, not just a banner
Enforcement is included rather than configured around: every tag runs through one place that knows the answer, including the ones added later by somebody who did not tell you.
Consent Studio and CookieYes, side by side
These are the rows where a billing model stops being a line on an invoice and shows up in what you get.

We only put ourselves next to platforms we respect. If Consent Studio did not exist, CookieYes is one we would happily have pointed you at, and the rows above are where we differ rather than a verdict on their software.
The CookieYes column is what they publish about themselves, read on 29 August 2026. Vendors change what they offer, so check the current version before deciding.
How to compare two priced-per-domain products
When the headline figures are close, the answer is in what the figure buys. These are answerable from either pricing page.
What is the billing unit
Per domain is where both start, and underneath it there may be a pageview, session or visitor allowance. Find the unit before comparing the headline number, because two identical prices can buy very different things.
- Per domain
- Per pageview
- Per session
What happens above the allowance
Find the overage rate and multiply it by a good month rather than an average one. This is the number that decides whether a campaign that works is also a campaign that costs, and it sits well down the pricing page.
- The rate
- Your best month
- Not the average
How much of the site gets scanned
Ask how many pages a scan covers. A cap sounds generous at four figures and it trims from the tail, which is where the old landing page with the 2019 embedded video lives.
- Pages per scan
- Whole site or sample
- Frequency
Where are the records, and who owns the vendor
Location and corporate ownership are separate questions and only the second answers the CLOUD Act. Ask both, and ask whether your own staff can export without raising a ticket.
- Location
- Ownership
- Self-service export
We built one of the products on this page, so read it the way you would read any vendor’s comparison. The questions above are the part worth taking away: they work on us as well as on anybody else.
What moving actually costs
An afternoon for most sites. The work is in the decisions rather than the install.
Re-categorising the tags
A judgement about your business rather than a technical task, and no vendor can do it for you. Your existing categorisation is a head start worth re-checking rather than copying, because our first scan usually finds tags the old setup never knew about.
The old consent records
Export them before the account closes. Most sites treat a switch as a point to re-ask rather than to migrate, since consent given against one banner’s wording does not transfer cleanly to another’s.
The install
One script or one plugin, generated for your domain, and there is a plugin for most common platforms. Twenty minutes.
The renewal date you are waiting for
Most people put a move off until their current contract lapses, and that wait is longer than the move. Essential and Professional cost nothing with us until that date, however far off it is, so the site can move now and never lands on two bills in the same month.
What we charge, and what we count
Ten euro a month per domain, unlimited pages, no per-visitor or per-pageview billing, inside a fair use range of 500,000 sessions a month. Agencies have a partner rate.

Questions people ask when comparing
How does CookieYes pricing work?
When we read their published pricing, plans were quoted per domain per month with a monthly pageview allowance and a charge for pageviews above it, plus a cap on pages per scan that rose with the tier. Check the current version before deciding, because vendors change what they count.
Which model is cheaper?
It depends entirely on your traffic, and anyone answering without asking about yours is guessing. Metered pricing is cheaper for a small site and gets more expensive as traffic grows; ours does not move with traffic inside the fair use range. Work out your busiest month and compare that, not your average one.
Do you limit how many pages get scanned?
No. The weekly crawl covers every page it can reach. That matters more than it sounds because findings concentrate on the pages nobody links to any more, which is exactly what a per-scan cap removes first.
Is migrating difficult?
The install takes twenty minutes and most common platforms have a plugin. The real work is re-categorising your tags, which is a judgement about your business. Export your existing consent records before closing the old account.
